I need to get more web two-point-oh for a few things I need to do for work, so the first of these is jQuery because I needs to get more Ajaxy. I’ll try reading tutorials and junks on this in a while.

Additionally, I need to brush up on some XML processing, so I’m going to work on some XPath! I need XPath to build an interface with some AI tools and I hope to use the jQuery to make it a little more user-friendly. It is great that I have work to motivate me to actually learn stuff.

Well it has been quite a while since I have last updated. Allow me to fill in my loyal visitor(s) of this site on what has occured in recent times.

I have been staying in Morgantown for the summer undergoing an internship with the NASA/WVU Applied Technologies Lab. You can visit the site through the link entitled ‘ATL’ on the right navigation. Anyway, I just evaluate software, build furniture, and actually do a little bit of programming, which is fun. I’m also learning a little more about Ubuntu and Debian systems.

Speaking of such things, I actually purchased two books quite recently:

Mac OS X Internals: A Systems Approach - This book looks both interesting and extremely grueling, at 1600 pages. I have yet to start it because I’m currently in the middle of other things.

The Debian System: Concepts and Techniques - I bought this book to assist me in my limited knowledge of Debian systems, since some of the stuff I’ve been doing has been related to Ubuntu and packaging on Ubuntu, which I have no idea how to do since I am a Windows-turned-Mac user.

In my free time I do one of the following:

Watch Movies - I’m probably at 40-50 since mid-May

Play Guitar - Downtuned to suck at playing Death - Crystal Mountain

Browse Internet/Listen to Music

Read Books - Harry Potter 7, 2 Roger Zelazny books, currently on a Samuel Delany

Lastly, for those of you who have actually been here before, I changed the layout only slightly. I attempted to make it look less cluttered and less web-0.2.0 by removing some borders and other things.

Despite the fact that I accidentally slept in, missing Japanese yet again and failing to turn in my homework, I’m glad it is today! Why, you ask? Because I have a horrible week to look forward to next week, and today I’m going to see The Forgotten Kingdom and Street Kings!

Speaking of moving pictures, Wired has shown me a list of upcoming shows that look quite promising. And we don’t have to worry about Fox canceling them as Nathan Fillion is nowhere to be found.

In other news, I am so proud of myself now that I managed to post something on the programming section of Reddit that has managed to make it to the front page! Yes, I am pitiful. It was a link to these linked list exercises in C.
